INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Padme Wellness recognizes every individual’s mental health treatment journey is unique and personalized. How long you need to engage in mental health services and how often you attend sessions will be influenced by many factors.
KETAMINE ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY
Ketamine is an exciting and versatile tool. You may have heard about it as an anesthetic, a club drug, a veterinary medicine, and now for mental health. Ketamine has been used in the medical field since the 1960s and is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines. This means it is considered among the most effective and safe medications to meet the most important needs in a health system.
PSYCHEDELIC PREPARATION AND INTEGRATION
I offer preparation and integration sessions for those interested in exploring their mental health through psychedelics and other non-ordinary states of consciousness that don’t involve the use of substances.
BREATHWORK
I first experienced the 3-part breath at a KAP training retreat. Through that experience, I bonded with an inner child I’d been ignoring for years and learned the depths of the power of my own breath. It was amazing to achieve a non-ordinary state of consciousness with only my breath where previously I’d only experienced those with psychedelic medicines. Living in a state where ketamine is the only legal psychedelic (and can be cost prohibitive), our ability to legally engage with non-ordinary states is limited. After my experience, it became clear that I had access to a tool for myself and my clients to legally explore non-ordinary states.
GOOD FAITH ESTIMATES
Effective January 1, 2022, a ruling went into effect called the "No Surprises Act" which requires practitioners to provider a "Good Faith Estimate" to individuals who are uninsured or utilize self-pay. The Good Faith Estimate (referred to throughout this document as “GFE”) works to show the cost of items and services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for an item or service, a diagnosis, and a reason for mental health services.
LICENSURE SUPERVISION
I am approved in the state of Virginia as a Clinical Supervisor for LPC, LSATP, and CSAC Residents. I offer supervision in person at my Richmond-based office or virtually. I have over 10 years of experience in the counseling field, specializing in treating trauma, self-harming behaviors, and substance use disorders. I feel passionately about increasing access to mental health treatment for marginalized and under-served communities. Addressing accessibility also includes creating more opportunities for residents to gain experience and supervision. As such, I am particularly (although not exclusively) interested in working with BIPOC individuals seeking supervision.
